[Bourne's voice sounds higher-pitched and a little breathy.]

What the fuck--

Does anyone know if the Admiral passed the cosmic version of Driver's Ed?

God damn it...

[OOC: Hey kids, it's River Tam! (aka Summer Glau aka that Terminator.) So this is terrifying for everyone. Have fun!]

[Bourne remembered that Armand had been touchy about the subject earlier, when he'd mentioned it about the port - but never before.] "He hasn't seemed to need that before, considering we don't get too much sunlight here."

[He smiled pleasantly - which definitely worked much better than trying to look big and serious like he usually did, in this body. He had the distinct impression that he'd look like a puffed-up kitten if he tried to seem overly tough until the flood was over. Change your strategy to fit the situation. He was a chameleon; he was good at that. Meanwhile, he wedged his foot into the opening between door and frame in case there was an abrupt change of heart, maintaining eye contact with the young woman who knew an awful lot about vampires.]

[Armand frowned at Bourne when he noticed the foot wedged in the doorway and shifted so he could none-too-subtly step on it.]

Then you must not know him very well.

[His expression was a shallow mixture of a glare and a slightly smug smirk. If he could force his warden out now, then he could perhaps escape without Jason having any knowledge of his transformation or who had done it to him.]

You should leave.

[It was as about as polite as the vampire could manage.]

[Judging by the foot stepping on his own, he was decidedly unwelcome here. Too bad for this person that it only made Bourne more determined to get in. That, and the smirky-glare, which was not a safe expression to wear around the asset since he associated it with some of the smug snakes he'd known throughout the life he could remember.]

"No." [He at least put on a show of thinking about it.]

[Armand's slight smirk decayed into a scowl, twisting his mouth at the corners.]

I said to leave.

[He attempted to increase the pressure on his warden's foot. He didn't want Jason anywhere near him right now.]

Spam - Sorry for lateness. :<

"And I said...no."

[The foot on his was pressing down harder, and Bourne did his best to ignore the pain. Tired of waiting for someone to be the voice of reason, which clearly neither of them were going to be, he attempted to bull his way through and into the room. With this body, who knew if he would succeed. He sure hoped he could.]

[Armand wasn't about to have that and attempted to push Bourne back through the door, as some of his vampiric strength had remained with Gabriel's affliction.]

Do not push your way in here like this is your property. It is not.

[The vampire was none-too-pleased with his warden and the situation at hand.]

Spam - hope this is okay.

"I need to see Armand," [Bourne said, and it was odd to hear his businesslike, almost brusque tone coming from this petite girl. Right now he could give a damn about hurt feelings. They were warden and inmate; they didn't have to be friends, although that would certainly make his life easier.

He stumbled backwards a little bit with the push, and he had to remind himself that he wasn't quite as strong as he usually was right now. He stood up straight, arms by his sides but not quite relaxed, ready to deal with any trouble.] "As his warden, I have the duty to check up on him if I suspect trouble or harm has come to him, and these circumstances fit the bill. He's stopped voice-posting, claiming someone new was visiting him - after switching to written replies - and you've claimed that he's feeling ill. This story reeks of a cover-up. Either you've hurt him..." [The warden paused. The look on the woman's face, that haughty scowl, was one he'd seen before.] "...or the flood waters caught up to you a little late, Armand."

[Armand's look only darkened further at Jason suggestion that the flood waters had turned him and, before he could help himself:]

The flood waters have not touched me.

[The alto tone was dark and bitter with anger. And as soon as he spoke, the vampire realized his folly. He tried urgently to push Jason more forcefully back through the doorway and to slam his door to be left in peace.]

Spam - Welcome back!

[The goading attempt had been successful - more so than Bourne had hoped. He let Armand push him out the doorway and slam the door. Better for the vampire to save face.]

"Come on, I'm in no position to make fun of you," [he said through the door.] "We're in the same boat here."

[Armand locked it with a click before pacing back over to his closet and trying find something he could use against his warden. He didn't like being so easily goaded and he certainly wanted some form of revenge against Jason.]

Your puns are not funny.

[Yeah, because that was revenge-worthy right there.]
From: [identity profile] brokenweapon.livejournal.com
"It...what? No, that wasn't a pun."

[He had to bite back a grin, though. Armand was taking it worse than even he had.]

[Armand moved back over to his bed and pulled the pillows out of his clothing and settled them back on his bed before quietly hanging up his shirt and trousers.]

I suppose you think I am dumb enough to believe you.

[And the vampire didn't think fondly of that idea.]

"Armand. I think you're stubborn and impossible sometimes, but I don't think you're stupid." [It was clear that Bourne was trying to smooth the situation over, as well as their relations in general.]

[Armand busied himself with hanging his things up again before he moved to sit on the edge of his bed, not likely to go open his door again.]

I do not need your assurances, Jason, as I find no need for them. Your words mean nothing to me.
