[Armand jumped a little at the knock on the door, as he wasn't expecting anyone to come visit him. Carefully he padded over to the door and took a few moments to compare the smell to the heartbeat. Great. His warden had come to see him. The vampire reached down to lock the door.]
He is retired and doesn't want to see anyone.
[Armand doubted it would work but it would at least give him time to hurry back over to his bed and to stuff his pillows underneath the covers.]
