...well, that was entirely stupid.
[Private to David.]
Looks like I'm your new warden. Enjoy the Admiral's sense of humor.

[Private] Too bad Bourne's elf buddy isn't around. He could give them sugar cookies. ;)
So, in other words, if the Admiral doesn't see someone playing his games he gets rid of them. [The hostility ebbs, but if anything, the look he's eyeing Bourne with now is even worse. He looks furtive, wary. It's a desperate, dangerous look.]
[Private] Haha oh shit the Admiral is Crayak
Basically.
[But that reaction lets Bourne know that David doesn't like people playing games with him. Something we have in common.]
[Private] Gee, make him MORE paranoid. :P
Right. I'll remember that.
[Which only means he's working with a time limit. Take out the Admiral before the Admiral takes him out. I can't afford to waste time.]
Anything else I should know?
[Private] This is a boat of paranoia.
But he can guess what David's thinking, 'cause it's about what he would be thinking too. Cut off the snake's head and the body stops wriggling.]
If you're thinking about trying to find the Admiral, good luck. There've been riots in the past, people trying to find him and overthrow him. It never ends well for them.
[Private] No wonder he's fitting in so well.
[Then the mask goes back up again.]
Yeah. He doesn't sound like the type who tolerates rebellion. And I bet you were right there doing his dirty work too.
[Private] YOUR WARDEN CAN READ YOUR MIND.
I don't have a pair of jackboots in my closet, if that's what you're implying.
[A pause. Then:]
Let me also mention that he's a fucking terrible pilot.
[Private] GET OUTTA MY HEEEEEAD.
You still work for him.
[And that's the bottom line, as far as he's concerned. Bourne works for the Admiral, so Bourne must be the enemy. It's just that simple.]
[Private] NO.
And you're still stuck here, so we're back where we started.
[Private] BLAAARGH
Look, I'll tell you this once: stay away from me. I'm finding my way off this ship, no matter what it takes. The Admiral can play his games with someone else, and so can you. I'm not interested.
[Private] bluh bluh so late
Fine.
[Better to learn by failure than be coddled, is Bourne's reasoning.]
[Private] Better late than never!
