During the OS-19 port, I had a chance to speak with Crayak's emissary, the Drode. He let slip that David was manipulated into finding the morphing cube in the first place by Crayak's hand. I also met Crayak's opposite number, a being called the Ellimist. The Ellimist said that if David manages to leave the Barge without being redeemed - if he disappears - he goes right back to being Crayak's tool. A weapon. A monster.

He might actually cooperate with you, if he doesn't find some reason to make you an enemy.
